Description
Carl Zeiss Jena Ergaval / Fluoval microscope condenser holder spring-loaded screw | Apl 1,4 mo2 service partOriginal spring mounting screw used to secure the condenser in the condenser holder.
This particular screw comes from the Carl Zeiss Jena Apl 1.4 mo2 condenser holder that was used in the Carl Zeiss Jena Ergaval microscope. The same condenser (but with a different lower lens) is used in an identical holder in Fluoval microscopes. Condenser holders with such screws can also be found in the following microscopes:
- Docuval
- Amplival
- NU-2
The purpose of this spring screw is to push the clamp in which the condenser is mounted outward. Thanks to the spring integrated in the screw, it is possible to center the condenser using long centering screws (you can find such a centering screw in the database under number 99132).
In the last photo, an arrow clearly indicates which screw is meant and where it is mounted in the condenser holder.
