Description
Leitz Orthoplan microscope 38mm photo tube for trinocular head and 30mm eyepiece | Dialux and Diaplan compatibleA photo tube that allows a projection eyepiece to be mounted on the trinocular head of Leitz Wetzlar microscopes.
Photo / trino heads for Leitz Wetzlar microscopes have a standardized mount of 38 mm diameter into which various tubes can be fitted. One of exactly these tubes is presented here.
Basic parameters of the tube presented here:
- Markings on the housing
- "Germany" on one side and "30ø" on the other side
- Mounting connection
- a plain tube (cylinder). This is not a tube with a thread or a dovetail
- Mounting diameter
- 38 mm, that is the standard mounting diameter used in Leitz Wetzlar trinocular heads
- Internal optics
- none - this tube has no optics inside
- Internal diameter
- the tube has an internal diameter of 30 mm, so that a projection eyepiece of exactly that diameter can be fitted inside
The trinocular heads this tube fits are used among others in the following microscopes:
- Leitz Wetzlar Orthoplan
- Leitz Wetzlar Diaplan
- Leitz Wetzlar Ergolux
- Leitz Wetzlar Dialux
- Leitz Wetzlar Laborlux
- Leitz Wetzlar SM-LUX
- Leitz Wetzlar Ortholux II
- Leitz Wetzlar Aristoplan
- Leitz Wetzlar HM-LUX
This is not a tube for one particular microscope model. A trino head can be mounted not only on the microscope it was sold with, so the correct assumption is that this is a standard tube for Leitz Wetzlar trinocular heads - and those can be used on most microscope models of this company.
The last photo in the gallery shows what this tube looks like with a 30 mm eyepiece fitted.
The "compatibility" section lists example microscopes this tube fits, although the list is not complete.
