Description
Lomo Progress M-9 (Lomo M9) microscope vertical focus spring cover with logoA cap (cover) engraved with the manufacturer's logo and the model name "M-9." This coap covers and holds the spring, which is part of the mechanism that focuses the vertical slide. The plate also includes the serial number and year of manufacture (1938).
The M-9 microscope was manufactured before World War II at the Soviet Progress (later Lomo) factory. It is often believed to be a direct descendant of the small MBI and MBR series microscopes, but this is not true, as the MBR-3 and MBI-1 are copies of the German L-Stativ.
