Description
PZO Biolar field diaphragm and light collector lensThe illumination module block in the microscope base (known as the "tube").
The complete illumination system in the PZO Biolar microscope base (in any version) consists of:
- an illuminator (light source)
- a "tube" containing collimating lenses and a field diaphragm
- a 90-degree angle mirror
- a light filter (clear or blue)
This offers an integrated block, also known as a "tube." It consists of:
- a metal tube with holes that acts as a heat sink, dissipating heat from the light source
- a set of lenses that collimate the illumination beam
- a field diaphragm (iris diaphragm)
- a knob that opens/closes the diaphragm
This element is the same for all lighting types, regardless of whether it's a 6V 15W bulb, a PZO OH1 (12V 100W) or a modified LED, so it fits any version of the PZO Biolar microscope:
- B
- B2
- GF
- Pol
- DIC
- EPI
- Fluoreszenz
It contains two critical components: a collimating lens that often cracks under temperature, and a field diaphragm whose blades are prone to bending.
