EMO Optik Wetzlar 75:1 0,82 microscope obiective | dry RMS 75x Seibert Optik Wetzlar

The name of this microscope part.

EMO Optik Wetzlar 75:1 0,82 microscope objective | dry RMS 75x Seibert Optik Wetzlar

Description of this part for the microscope.

A very rarely encountered microscope objective from EMO Optik Wetzlar, available on the secondary market.

Basic parameters:
Manufacturer: EMO Optik Wetzlar ...

(Arthur Seibert)
Model: 75:1 0.82
Correction: achromatic
Magnification: 75x
Aperture: N.A. 0.82
Thread: RMS
Parfocal length: 45 mm
Tube length: 170 mm (most likely)
Immersion: no | dry objective | air

The description states that the tube length is most likely 170 mm. Most objectives produced in the 1950s-1970s in the so-called "Wetzlar microscope center" followed a common 170 mm standard. The company "EMO Optik" was founded by Arthur Seibert, who was trained and worked at Leitz, which suggests the use of the 170 mm standard commonly used by Leitz at that time.

There is very little information available about microscopes manufactured by EMO Optik Wetzlar, therefore the exact microscope model from which this objective originates is unfortunately unknown.

Kosmos Stuttgart 50:1 N.A. 0,82 vintage 50x microscope objective

The name of this microscope part.

Kosmos Stuttgart 50:1 N.A. 0,82 vintage 50x microscope objective

Description of this part for the microscope.

Microscope objective for older microscopes (so called antique, vintage microscopes).

Manufacturer: Kosmos-Stuttgart
Model: 50:1 N.A.0.82
Magnification: ...

50x
Thread: RMS
Tube length: 170 mm (?)
Focal length: 37 mm

At that time (most likely in the 1960s) the objectives mounted in microscopes from different manufacturers looked very similar. Many microscope manufacturers ordered objectives from large optics manufacturers (e.g. Leitz Wetzlar) and then only engraved their own names on them. Compare this objective with another one which in the database has number 00618).
Because of this, these objectives can be used with microscopes from many other manufacturers.
