P/N 45 09 05 (also written as 450905). However, it also fits the following variants:
- Zeiss Axiolab drb KT, which carries the same number 45 09 05 (450905)
- Zeiss Axiolab E re, 45 09 07 (450907)
- Zeiss Axiolab A (reflected light), 45 09 09 (450909)
- Zeiss Axiolab Pol, 45 09 10 (450910)

The knob carries a collar with a 0-360 scale, which is an angular measure describing one full turn of the knob.

The knob is mounted on the shaft (the shaft inside the stand body that connects the knobs on the right and the left side of the microscope) with a small grub screw, which is included.

I was not able to confirm this, but in my opinion it is very likely that this knob also fits the following microscopes:
- Zeiss Standard 20
- Zeiss Standard 25 ICS
- Zeiss Axiostar
- Zeiss Axioskop 20
- Zeiss Axiovert 25

The Carl Zeiss Axiolab microscope has two such knobs. Both are identical, so there is no difference between the right and the left knob. I am offering each of these knobs separately (one at a time).

- the 3-wire cable with a flat plug

Purpose: brightness control of the 6V 20W-25W and 30W halogen bulb. This potentiometer has to work together with the electronics of the transformer built into the microscope body.

This potentiometer was removed from a Zeiss Axiolab re microscope, P/N 45 09 05 (also written as 450905). However, it also fits the following variants:
- Zeiss Axiolab drb KT, which carries the same number 45 09 05 (450905)
- Zeiss Axiolab E re, 45 09 07 (450907)
- Zeiss Axiolab A, 45 09 09 (450909)
- Zeiss Axiolab Pol, 45 09 10 (450910)

I was not able to confirm this, but in my opinion it is very likely that the potentiometer from the Zeiss Axiolab microscope also fits the following microscopes:
- Zeiss Standard 20
- Zeiss Standard 25 ICS
- Zeiss Axiostar
- Zeiss Axioskop 20
- Zeiss Axiovert 25

The part offered here can be a remedy for the following problems with a Zeiss microscope:
- if the illumination intensity control in the microscope has stopped working completely (but be careful, the cause may also lie on the side of the electronics)
- if the bulb flickers while you adjust the brightness
- if, for example, due to mechanical damage the knob has broken off your potentiometer

fixed to the casting number 6527 with two hex socket screws. This is the casting of the stage carrier, because in the Axiolab focusing is done by lowering and raising the condenser and stage unit. The screws that hold the rack to this casting are included in the set offered here.

This toothed rack was removed from a Zeiss Axiolab re microscope, P/N 45 09 05 (also written as 450905). However, it also fits the following variants:
- Zeiss Axiolab drb KT, which carries the same number 45 09 05 (450905)
- Zeiss Axiolab E re, 45 09 07 (450907)
- Zeiss Axiolab A, 45 09 09 (450909)
- Zeiss Axiolab Pol, 45 09 10 (450910)

I was not able to confirm this, but in my opinion it is very likely that the focusing rack from the Zeiss Axiolab microscope also fits the following microscopes:
- Zeiss Standard 20
- Zeiss Standard 25 ICS
- Zeiss Axiostar
- Zeiss Axioskop 20
It may also fit the inverted microscope Zeiss Axiovert 25.

The teeth of this rack can be damaged quite easily, because the whole rack is made of soft brass - and it runs against a hard steel pinion.

The large gear wheel transfers the movement from the shaft that the user turns with the knobs - and on the smaller pinion runs the brass toothed rack (https://www.microscopeparts.eu/part/99943), raising and lowering the stage with the specimen.

In the Zeiss Axiolab microscope these wheels are mounted on the housing casting on a relatively thin axle (it is included in the set offered here), and even the slightest bend of that axle makes the gear turn unevenly.

This gear wheel was removed from a Zeiss Axiolab re microscope, P/N 45 09 05 (also written as 450905). However, it also fits the following variants:
- Zeiss Axiolab drb KT, which carries the same number 45 09 05 (450905)
- Zeiss Axiolab E re, 45 09 07 (450907)
- Zeiss Axiolab A, 45 09 09 (450909)
- Zeiss Axiolab Pol, 45 09 10 (450910)

Zeiss Axiolab microscopes - as in most microscopes of the Axio series (among others Axioskop, Axioplan, Axiophot) - the stages are not permanently fixed with screws. They are interchangeable and are fitted onto the stage carrier, which has the form of a clamp. So that the stage can be fitted onto such a carrier, the stages have a dovetail ring on the underside, with a diameter matching the carrier.

Here I am offering exactly such a dovetail ring, removed from the underside of the Zeiss 453510 stage (the number is also written as: 45 35 10).

microscope stage, allowing precise movement of the specimen in both the X and Y axes of the stage surface. The manipulator consists of two coaxial knobs and two coaxial drive shafts - an outer one and an inner one, ending in separate pinions of different diameters.

This particular manipulator was removed from the Zeiss 453510 microscope stage (the number is also written as: 45 35 10). The last photo in the gallery shows the whole stage it comes from.

On the second-hand market and in service documentation one encounters many names referring to this assembly. The most commonly used terms include, among others:
- stage manipulator
- XY stage manipulator
- mechanical stage drive
- stage control knobs
- specimen mover
- coaxial stage drive
- stage drive assembly
- mechanical stage control
- manual XY stage drive
- stage actuator mechanism

Such manipulators are very often damaged mechanically while the microscope is being transported. Because they stick out beyond the outline of the stand, they are the first to take the energy of the impact when the instrument falls or is packed badly.

In many cases it is not the whole manipulator that gets damaged, but only one of its parts. Most often these are the knobs, the drive shafts, the coaxial sleeves or the fixing elements. That is why this database also holds all the most important components of this (and other) manipulators, offered separately as service parts.

Damage to the manipulator does not make further work with the microscope impossible. The specimen can be moved by hand, or a simple specimen holder without the XY movement can be fitted. Such a solution works at low magnifications, but when working with objectives above 40x (for example 60x, 63x, 80x or 100x) precise movement of the specimen by hand becomes very difficult. At total magnifications above roughly 400x even a small movement of the hand shifts the image by a considerable distance in the field of view. The mechanical manipulator allows very smooth, controlled and repeatable movement of the specimen in both axes, which matters especially during observation with oil immersion and when making photographic documentation.
