A major turning point in the company's microscope production occurred in 1929, when Officine Galileo acquired the Milanese brand Fratelli Koristka (founded by Francesco Koristka). Koristka was Italy's leading microscope manufacturer and held production licenses and patents from Carl Zeiss.
Following the merger, product catalogs were published jointly (often under the name Officine Galileo – Direzione Commerciale Koristka). Instruments from this era were co-branded or carried the Galileo name while utilizing Koristka’s optical expertise.
