The Optika B-383POL microscope is the polarising model of the B-380 series, an infinity-corrected (IOS) stand with a rotating stage, aimed at education and routine laboratory polarisation work. It is equipped with strain-free IOS N-PLAN POL objectives - M-144P 4x/0.10, M-145P 10x/0.25, M-146P 20x/0.40, M-147P 40x/0.65, M-149P 60x/0.80 and M-148P 100x/1.25 oil - all with RMS thread, 45 mm parfocal distance, cover glass 0.17 mm and field number 20. Optika assigns this objective series to the B-383POL alone, which makes these lenses the only correct replacement for that stand, while the higher-grade IOS W-PLAN POL objectives belong to the B-510 and B-1000 stands and are not interchangeable as an upgrade.
