Aluminium nameplate with magnification table for the Carl Zeiss Jena Technival stereo microscope.

This nameplate is attached to the front of the stereo microscope body (that is, to the revolving magnification changer). It is secured with just a few small drops of adhesive.

This nameplate serves two purposes:
- it is positioned directly in front of the user's eyes, allowing the current total magnification to be identified immediately
- it protects the inside of the revolving magnification changer against dust and dirt entering the mechanism

Important: this nameplate does NOT fit the following microscopes:
- Carl Zeiss Jena Technival-2, because the magnification changer in this model has more magnification settings
- Carl Zeiss Jena Citoval / Citoval-2, because these models use a continuously variable ZOOM magnification system
