Zeiss Photomicroscope / Universal cover ring / metal collar concealing the microscope body to intermediate tube connectionMetal cover ring concealing the connection between the microscope body and the intermediate tube (the so-called trino / photo intermediate tube) for Zeiss Universal and Photomicroscope (Phomi) microscopes.

▼ More about this microscope part
On the secondary market, many Zeiss Phomi (Photomicroscope) and Zeiss Universal microscopes are missing this cover ring, which may allow dust to enter the optical system. Why is this cover ring often missing?
- first, it can be removed very easily, so over the years it may simply get lost
- secondly, the microscope body and the trino intermediate tube are often sold separately, so this cover ring frequently ends up being included in neither the first transaction nor the second
