Description of this part for the microscope.

simple microscope stages with clips for holding the specimen. Therefore, at magnifications above 400x, manually manipulating the slide with the specimen becomes very difficult. XY cross stages are used for this purpose, for example, to move the specimen very precisely at 500x, 600x od 1000x magnification with oil immersion.

This is not a cheap plastic cross stage - it is a well-made Hertel & Reuss design.

NOTE - if the mounting pin spacing matches, this cross stage can be mounted on stages from virtually any manufacturer.

Note - this is version "A" of the XY cross-stage mechanism - it differs from version "B" only in the shape of the screws, but in order to ensure that my photos always show the original item, each variant is listed separately in the database.

Among Hertel & Reuss low-magnification objectives, those with 4:1 magnification are most commonly found on the market. This 5:1 magnification model, especially in the newer housing version offered here, is rare.

This particular microscope stage was used in a Hertel & Reuss Studio II microscope.
However, it is sufficient to measure the spacing of the mounting screws that attach the stage to the stand and, if they match, to use it with other microscope models as well.

Hertel & Reuss also manufactured microscopes that were sold under other brand names, therefore it is likely that this stage will also fit some microscope models sold under the following names:
- Kosmos
- Humboldt
- Beck

A trinocular head is a binocular microscope head with an additional third optical port for connecting a camera or photographic device.

This particular unit comes from a Hertel & Reuss Studio II microscope, but it also works with any other microscope model from this manufacturer that has an interchangeable head with a mounting diameter of 50 mm.
NOTE - as far as I remember, not all H&R microscopes have an easily interchangeable head; this applies, for example, to the Primus model.

23.2 mm

Compensating 5x eyepieces are very often used as projection eyepieces for microscope photography.

The unit offered here was used with a Carl Zeiss Stereomicroscope II microscope (as seen in the last photo).

It originally used an incandescent bulb, but over the years, someone replaced it with an LED and connected a transformer. It has a bracket that allows for mounting to virtually any microscope.

6x (and 8x) eyepieces are best suited for microscopes equipped with a head with a magnification of 1.5x or 1.6x. In such cases, using 10x or higher eyepieces can result in excessive magnification and sometimes poor image quality. In such cases, 6x/8x eyepieces provide the best image and optimal magnification.

This allows you to view objects in polarized transmitted light, which produces very beautiful effects, for example, when observing descaling agent, vitamin C, or sand.

Gleitfett I E10 and Gleitfett II E75 were supplied with the Carl Zeiss Jena micromanipulator.
The Gleitfett III E410 offered here was supplied with the Carl Zeiss Jena Neophot-21 microscope.

This MAY suggest (although I have no proof in the form of manufacturer documentation) that the lower numbers (I and II) and the lower values of the "E" parameter (E10 and E75) were intended for finer mechanisms - and may therefore have a lower viscosity, for example. The III E410 grease, with its high "E" value, was supplied with a heavy microscope built around massive mechanics - so it may well be thicker.

This grease can of course be used on microscopes from other manufacturers as well - a few are listed in the "compatibility" section, but that is by no means a complete list.

it fits the CN series or the STE-6 stereo microscope (I'll post here once I find out).

Update: I just tested it with a Hertel & Reuss CN-hf / CN-fl microscope. The illuminator fits perfectly, but the CN-hf / CN-fl doesn't have a mirror underneath (Umlenkspiegel), so you'll need to install one yourself and it will work perfectly (see last photos).
