Will Wetzlar V300 / V365 4/0.10 160/- RMS 4x microscope objective, long barrel 45 mm, achromatic | Hund H600 und Leitz Wetzlar compatible
|
|
Description of this part for the microscope.
Achromatic microscope objective by Will Wetzlar, 4x magnification, 45 mm parfocal distance.
Manufacturer: Will Wetzlar Magnification: 4x Model: 4/0.
...
10 160/- Numerical aperture N.A.: 0.10 Cover glass: not required Thread: RMS Tube length: 160 mm Parfocal distance: 45 mm (so-called long objective) Immersion: no (dry objective)
This objective can be used: - on biological transmitted light microscopes - on inverted microscopes - on microscopes with a reflected light illuminator - for macro photography, connected directly to a camera
This is the so-called black series of objectives, named after the black plastic objective barrel. They were used mainly in the Will Wetzlar microscopes of the V300 series, for example in the Wilozyt V365 model. This was the period when manufacturers were experimenting with a new look for microscope parts, and exactly the same black series appeared, for example, in the Leitz Wetzlar HM-LUX-3 microscopes.
It is worth noting that the Will Wetzlar microscopes of the V100 and V200 series were usually fitted with objectives of 37 mm parfocal distance - but newer objectives with a parfocal distance of 45 mm, such as those of the black series, can be used in them without any problems whatsoever.
The companies Eschenbach, Kremp Wetzlar, CBS Beck Kassel, Kosmos Stuttgart and Hund Wetzlar also used objectives made by Will Wetzlar, although these often carried their own company name. It can therefore be said with a high degree of confidence that this objective will also fit the microscopes of those companies.
This objective fits practically any microscope of any make, provided it has an RMS thread and accepts objectives with TL=160 mm and parfocal distances of 33 / 37 and 45 mm. A few examples of such microscopes are listed in the "kompatybilność" section, but that list is not exhaustive.

Leitz Wetzlar HM-LUX 3 / Leica 10/0.25 P/N 519754 microscope objective 10x 160/- | Hund H600 and Will Wetzlar compatible
|
|
Description of this part for the microscope.
Leitz Wetzlar achromatic microscope objective, 10x magnification, 45 mm parfocal length.
Manufacturer: Leitz Wetzlar Magnification: 10x Model: 160/- 10/0.
...
25 Catalogue number in the manufacturer's catalogue: 519754 Numerical aperture N.A.: 0.25 Cover glass: not required Thread: RMS Tube length: 160 mm Parfocal length: 45 mm (so-called long barrel objective) Immersion: no (dry objective)
This is the so-called "black series" of objectives, named after the black plastic housing of the objective. They were used mainly in Leitz Wetzlar HM-LUX-3 microscopes (and in the model signed Leica HM-LUX 3). This was the period when manufacturers were experimenting with a new look for microscope parts, and exactly the same kind of "black series" could also be found in Will Wetzlar V300 / V355 / V365 or Nikon Alphaphot YS2 microscopes.
From 1990 onwards, the logo (and the name) "Leica" began to appear on microscopes that had until then been signed "Leitz". This was also visible on the HM-LUX 3 microscope - and this microscope can be found both with the "Leitz" logo and with "Leica". The same 10x objective that I present here with the name "Leitz Wetzlar" and manufacturer number 519754 also exists with the "Leica" marking - and NOTE - it carries exactly the same number, that is "519754".
This objective fits practically any microscope from any manufacturer, provided it has an RMS thread and accepts objectives with a tube length of 160 mm and a parfocal length of 33 / 37 or 45 mm. A few such microscopes are listed as examples in the "compatibility" section, but this is not a complete list.

Nikon E.100 1.25 oil 160/0.17 microscope objective 100x DIN RMS | Zeiss compatible
|
|
Description of this part for the microscope.
Achromatic oil immersion microscope objective made by Nikon, with 100x magnification and a 45 mm parfocal length.
Manufacturer: Nikon (Japan) Magnification:
...
100x Colour correction: achromatic Model: E. 100 1.25 oil 160/0.17 Numerical aperture N.A.: 1.25 Cover glass: yes, 0.17 mm thick Thread: RMS Tube length: 160 mm Parfocal length: 45 mm (long barrel objective) Immersion: yes, oil Operating mode: objectives marked "E." are already CF objectives (CFN to be precise) and need no additional correction
This objective needs no additional correction from a tube lens or from the eyepieces. That makes it possible to fit it to microscopes of other makes, and in photomicrography it works in direct projection mode (it throws the image straight onto the camera sensor, with no relay optics needed).
This is the so-called black series of objectives, named after the black plastic barrel. They were used mainly in the Nikon Alphaphot YS2 microscope. That was the period when manufacturers were experimenting with a new look for microscope parts, and exactly the same black series appeared for instance in the Leitz / Leica HM-LUX 3 microscope or in the Will Wetzlar V300 / V355 / V365 microscopes.
