This part is often damaged in PZO SK8 microscope stages: because the knobs extend beyond the microscope's outline after installation, the worm shaft often bends during transport, making it difficult to straighten properly.

The PZO SK8 is a mechanical microscope stage with horizontal knobs, primarily used in PZO MB30 microscopes, ML series models, and PZO MST-130/131 stereo microscopes - but is also sometimes installed in Studar and Biolar models.

This is an objective designed for transmitted light work with a cover glass.

The RMS thread objective is mounted on a dedicated slide-in adapter that allows it to be used in Lomo MIN series and Lomo Polam series microscopes. Of course, the objective can be unscrewed and another objective can be mounted in the adapter.

The objective itself, once removed from the adapter, is a standard objective that can be used in virtually any microscope with an RMS thread. It is a so-called "short objective" (focal length 33 mm). When a 12 mm adapter is added, the total length becomes 45 mm, allowing it to be used with newer microscopes from any manufacturer.

Lomo polarization objectives with RMS thread can be installed in an RMS-M27 adapter and then used in microscopes such as Lomo Biolam M, Lomo Biolam I, Lomo Lumam, or Lomo ML-2. I have also frequently seen such objectives used in Zeiss Axio series microscopes with M27 thread.

Early versions of this objective (with low serial numbers) have the engraved marking 5/0.15 160/0 suggesting that the objective is intended for use without a cover glass. This is true, but more precisely this objective can work both without a cover glass and with one. In newer versions the engraving already reads 5/0.15 160/- where this "minus" already means "indifferent".

This objective case can be used to store so-called "short" objectives (DIN 33 mm), longer objectives (DIN 37 mm), and long objectives (DIN 45 mm), provided they are not the so-called "thick" type.

For PZO objectives, it can accommodate all standard achromatic objectives as well as all phase contrast objectives. Some unusual PZO microscope objectives do not fit inside, for example the 100x PI objective (with a red ring).

Important: no dimensions are provided here. These eyecups fit only 23.2 mm microscope eyepieces manufactured by PZO (PZO Poland / PZO Warszawa). They do not fit microscope eyepieces made by other manufacturers. If a microscope made by another manufacturer (e.g. Lomo Biolam) uses PZO eyepieces, these eyecups will fit. If a PZO microscope (e.g. PZO Biolar) uses eyepieces made by another manufacturer (e.g. Carl Zeiss Jena), these eyecups will not fit even though the microscope itself is made by PZO.
