PZO GG9 microscope fluorescence filter (PZO Biolar FL / PZO MB30 PL Fluoreszenz Mikroskop)

The name of this microscope part.

Eyepiece barrier fluorescence filter GG9 for PZO Biolar FL and PZO MB-30 FL microscopes.

Description of this part for the microscope.

A filter that fits under the microscope head (PZO heads have a suitable mounting ring). From what I understand, the same filters are used with the Carl Zeiss Jena NU/NU2 ...

and other fluorescence microscopes from this company.

PZO Biolar FL - microscope monocular head with OG1 / GG9 fluorescence filter

The name of this microscope part.

PZO Biolar FL - microscope monocular head with OG1 / GG9 fluorescence filter

Description of this part for the microscope.

This is an original monocular microscope head (so-called monocular) with a mounted fluorescence barrier filter.

Basic parameters.
Manufacturer: PZO
Item: ...

Monocular microscope head for a fluorescence microscope
Model: PZO MNJ-4
Mounting method: dovetail, diameter 43 mm
Supported eyepieces: 23.2 mm
Mounted filter: OG1 / GG9
For microscopes: PZO Biolar FL and PZO MB-30 FL

Why are monocular microscope heads often used in fluorescence microscopy? Fluorescence microscopy (especially older designs) produces a relatively dark image, so it is beneficial for 100% of the light beam to reach a single eye. A binocular microscope head would split the light 50% to each eye, which could result in an image that is too dark.

The barrier fluorescence filter PZO OG1 / GG9 mounted under the microscope head protects the eyes from the harmful spectrum of fluorescence illumination.

Note - there is also a PZO GG9 fluorescence filter (also available in my catalog). It is important to select the correct filters for the appropriate applications.

The OG1 / GG9 filter is a separate element that can be detached from the microscope head. It is mounted under the microscope head in a dedicated slot provided for this purpose.

PZO Biolar DIC microscope MND-6 binocular head eyepiece diopter adjustment ring & right eyepiece prism

The name of this microscope part.

PZO Biolar DIC microscope MND-6 binocular head eyepiece diopter adjustment ring & right eyepiece prism

Description of this part for the microscope.

Eyepiece tube for eyepieces with diameter 23.2 mm and right eyepiece prism for the PZO MND-6 microscope head.

This is a tube with an assembled diopter adjustment ...

ring that allows correction of the vision defect of one eye and proper adjustment of image sharpness. The right eyepiece prism is integrated together with the tube.

Basic parameters:
- Type: tube with diopter correction ring
- Supported eyepiece diameter: 23.2 mm
- Included: right eyepiece prism
- For head model: PZO MND-6, both for models with black and with white housing.

This repair part (service element / replacement part) comes from a binocular head PZO MND-6 which was originally mounted on the microscopes:
- PZO Biolar DIC
- PZO Biolar B

However, because the PZO MND-6 head has a standard mounting interface typical for PZO microscopes (that is a dovetail mount with a diameter of 43 mm), this head can also be found mounted on other PZO microscopes such as:
- Studar
- MB-30

Additional information: the fluorescence microscope PZO Biolar FL was originally sold with a mono head (monocular head) - however the PZO MND6 head also fits this microscope model.

Hinweis - this tube with prism DOES NOT FIT heads that were originally sold with PZO Studar microscopes, even though these heads look very similar. Of course if a head from the Biolar model was mounted on a Studar microscope (because it fits), then this tube will be compatible, because it is a repair element for the HEAD and not for a specific microscope model.

Lomo 20 0,40 P polarization microscope objective with pol RMS objective adapter

The name of this microscope part.

Lomo 20 0,40 P polarization microscope objective with pol RMS objective adapter

Description of this part for the microscope.

Lomo microscope objective for polarization. The objective was manufactured at the Progress factory - therefore it has a different logo than standard Lomo objectives. ...

Manufacturer: Lomo
Magnification: 20x
Model: 20 0.40 P
Numerical aperture: 0.40
Tube length: 160 mm
Focal length: 33 mm
Cover glass: yes, 0.17 mm
Thread: RMS + Pol adapter
Info: P = Polarization

This is an objective designed for transmitted light work with a cover glass.

The RMS thread objective is mounted on a dedicated slide-in adapter that allows it to be used in Lomo MIN series and Lomo Polam series microscopes. Of course, the objective can be unscrewed and another objective can be mounted in the adapter.

The objective itself, once removed from the adapter, is a standard objective that can be used in virtually any microscope with an RMS thread. It is a so-called "short objective" (focal length 33 mm). When a 12 mm adapter is added, the total length becomes 45 mm, allowing it to be used with newer microscopes from any manufacturer.

Lomo polarization objectives with RMS thread can be installed in an RMS-M27 adapter and then used in microscopes such as Lomo Biolam M, Lomo Biolam I, Lomo Lumam, or Lomo ML-2. I have also frequently seen such objectives used in Zeiss Axio series microscopes with M27 thread.

The Pol adapter also allows precise centering of the objective relative to the entire optical path - this requires tools (keys / tools).

Info: I have repeatedly seen information stating that this RMS-Pol adapter is compatible with Leitz Wetzlar polarization microscopes - however, I have not personally verified this.

In summary, this objective is dedicated to Lomo MIN-1, MIN-4, MIN-5, MIN-6, MIN-8, Lomo Polam R-113, Polam L-211, Polam L-213, Polam R-311, Polam LMPR microscopes - but it is practically compatible with any microscope from any manufacturer that supports 160 mm objectives.

The name of this microscope part.

Lomo Plan 9x 0,20 P polarization microscope objective with pol RMS objective adapter | macro photography

Description of this part for the microscope.

Lomo microscope objective for polarization. The objective was manufactured at the Progress factory - therefore it has a different logo than standard Lomo objectives. ...

Note - this model of microscope objective is very often used for macro photography and focus stacking. More information on this can be found at the end of this description.

Manufacturer: Lomo
Magnification: 9x
Model: PLANACHR 9x0.20 P
Numerical aperture: 0.20
Optical correction: planachromatic (flat field)
Tube length: 160 mm
Focal length: 33 mm
Cover glass: optional, can be used but is not required
Thread: RMS + Pol adapter
Info: P = Polarization

The RMS thread objective is mounted on a dedicated slide-in adapter that allows it to be used in Lomo MIN series and Lomo Polam series microscopes. Of course, the objective can be unscrewed and another objective can be mounted into the adapter.

The objective itself, once removed from the adapter, is a standard objective that can be used in virtually any microscope with an RMS thread. It is a so-called "short objective" (focal length 33 mm). Info: I have repeatedly seen information stating that this RMS-Pol adapter is compatible with Leitz Wetzlar polarization microscopes - however, I have not personally verified this.

Additionally, this objective is very often used for macro photography even without a microscope. This objective does not require a cover glass and works in the "direct-projection" technique, meaning it can be connected directly to a camera without additional optics. This allows achieving a very high magnification scale and great depth of field across the entire image when using focus stacking. The fact that this is a polarization objective (i.e. stress-free optics without internal glass tensions) further improves image quality at high magnifications.

Lomo 3,7 0,11 P polarization microscope objective with pol RMS objective adapter | macro photography 3,7x

Magnification: 3,7x
Model: 3,7 0,11
Numerical aperture: 0.11
