Interesting fact:
This adapter fits the Carl Zeiss Jena Polmi-A microscope. This microscope is a construction designed for work with objectives with RMS thread and a tube length of 160 mm, but after using this adapter it is possible to use objectives with M19 thread corrected for infinity. Such tests were performed by Mr. Wojciech Plonka and he found that it works, but in this case the objectives produce stronger magnification than nominal (link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/254539018060854/?multi_permalinks=1857582481089825).

Carl Zeiss Jena CF-250 microscopes have a modular design, and the microscope part to which the eyepieces are mounted (commonly referred to as the "head", "binocular" or "binocular tube") is a separate element from the angled tube (sometimes the German term "Winkeltubus" is used). The modular construction of Olympus AX microscopes allows easy removal and installation of entire microscope elements, but this is often the reason why microscopes appearing on the secondary market are missing some modules.

When this objective is used on the Carl Zeiss Jena Metalliput microscope with an infinity corrected tube (in practice the tube length there is 250 mm), the full magnification of 5x is obtained.
When this objective is used together with a reflected light condenser (with an additional intermediate lens in the tube, that is with a 160 mm tube length) the concave mirrors partially extend under the objective, therefore the free working distance cannot be fully utilized. In such a configuration the real magnification is about two times smaller, approximately 2.7x.

Some Carl Zeiss Jena Jenalab and Jenamed microscopes (for example the Jenamed Fluorescence) were factory-equipped with binocular heads accepting 23.2 mm eyepieces. In that case this end cap is **not** compatible with that binocular head. By "that" I specifically mean the binocular head, as this is a component of the head rather than of the microscope itself.

Interestingly, 30 mm wide-field binocular heads are also occasionally fitted to older microscopes from the Mikroval series (for example Ergaval and Amplival). When combined with GF-Planachromat or GF-Planapochromat objectives (the latter also used on the Docuval), this provides arguably the best optical combination available for Carl Zeiss Jena microscopes with a 160 mm tube length.

Objective nosepieces in Will Wetzlar microscopes of the V100, V200 and V300 series have the same construction, and to the best of my knowledge also their equivalents sold by the company Hund Wetzlar - therefore this element should fit all of them.

AO One-Fifty microscopes were sold with one of three types of stages (a photo of a fragment of the manufacturer catalog is included in the image gallery). The simplest model with a square stage did not have a cross movement mechanism for precise specimen positioning, only simple stage clips.

To allow users to expand this microscope, the manufacturer offered an optional cross stage attachment, manufacturer number CAT. 1534 - and this is exactly that attachment.

This objective is for use with transmitted or reflected light.

This specific item was used with the Lomo MOIN-6 microscope.

The RMS-thread objective is mounted on a suitable sleeve that allows using the objective in Lomo MPD-1 / Lomo MIN-6 / Lomo MIN-8 / Lomo MIN-1 / Lomo Polam microscopes. Of course, the objective can be unscrewed and another objective can be screwed into the sleeve.

The Pol adapter also allows centering the objective relative to the entire optical path - this requires tools (wrenches / tools).

Info: I have repeatedly seen information stating that this RMS-Pol adapter is compatible with Leitz Wetzlar polarization microscopes - but I have not personally checked this.

Specimen holder: no

In the place where stage clips normally hold the microscope slide with the specimen, there is a black matte insert covering the central opening in the stage, which makes it possible to work with reflected light. As visible in the photos and in the video - it can be pulled out, and then it becomes a "normal" stage for work with transmitted light (although of course it lacks the clips that hold the specimen slide).

This particular stage worked in a Hertel & Reuss Metall microscope. YES - "Metall" is the model name and not a statement that the microscope is made of metal. It is the same stage that is used in the Hertel & Reuss Studio II microscope and it can be used on both of these microscopes.
However, it is enough to measure the spacing of the screws that mount the stage to the microscope stand - and if they match - it can also be used with other microscope models.

Hertel & Reuss also produced microscopes that were sold under other brand names, so it is likely that this stage will also fit some microscope models sold under the names:
- Kosmos
- Humboldt
- Beck (CBS Beck Kassel)
