It originally used an incandescent bulb, but over the years, someone replaced it with an LED and connected a transformer. It has a bracket that allows for mounting to virtually any microscope.

This is a rare, professional microscope objective with a very wide range of applications. Main features that make this objective exceptional:
- Water immersion is preferred by many users over oil immersion

Apochromatic objectives are known for exceptional color fidelity, significantly better than achromatic objectives.

This objective is extremely rare on the secondary market and highly professional. Key features:
- Water immersion is preferred by many users over oil immersion
- Very high numerical aperture (1.0) provides high-resolution images
- Use without cover slip allows, for example, direct placement of the objective inside a droplet with the sample to be observed

Despite the "L" marking, the objective can also be used with normal transmitted light illumination.

This objective is for use with transmitted or reflected light with a cover slip (although I am not sure if it definitely requires a cover slip).

This specific item was used with the Lomo Polam P-312 microscope, i.e., with an EPI reflected light illuminator.

The RMS-thread objective is mounted on a suitable sleeve that allows using the objective in Lomo MIN-6 / Lomo MIN-8 / Lomo MIN-1 / Lomo Polam microscopes. Of course, the objective can be unscrewed and another objective can be screwed into the sleeve.

The Pol adapter also allows centering the objective relative to the entire optical path - this requires tools (wrenches / tools).

Info: I have repeatedly seen information stating that this RMS-Pol adapter is compatible with Leitz Wetzlar polarization microscopes - but I have not personally checked this.

Info: M27 thread is also a standard used by Zeiss Axio microscopes. Therefore:

It is a complex mechanism with a spring, locking pawls and moving parts. A very interesting design.

Most likely compatible with many variants of the "SM" model. Attention - the SM-Pol model has a different head holder.

A trinocular head is a binocular microscope head with an additional third optical port for connecting a camera or photographic device.

This particular unit comes from a Hertel & Reuss Studio II microscope, but it also works with any other microscope model from this manufacturer that has an interchangeable head with a mounting diameter of 50 mm.
NOTE - as far as I remember, not all H&R microscopes have an easily interchangeable head; this applies, for example, to the Primus model.

a CZJ Ergaval / Amplival microscope with a classic illuminator (6V 15W filament bulb) and simply replacing the bulb holder with the one offered here will create a halogen-illuminated microscope. No.
- the original holder of the "regular" bulb contains a lens that collimates the light beam
- the halogen bulb holder does not contain that lens
- Ergaval / Amplival microscopes designed for halogen illumination have an additional lens threaded into the base

Halogen illumination is (according to many experts) the best microscope illumination because it delivers strong light with a full spectrum, whereas LED often provides only a portion of the color spectrum.

and focusing is achieved by raising or lowering the microscope stage. This is the opposite of how it works, for example, in the Lomo Biolam model, where the arm moves up and down.

Along this rack gear offered here, the entire assembly of the microscope stage holder and the condenser is moved. This assembly is driven by a gear wheel mounted on a shaft located between the coarse focus knobs.

This is an original brass rack gear, not a plastic 3D print. The set includes two mounting screws (the upper and lower ones differ from each other).

maintenance (especially cleaning) of this element is required. Since PZO Biolar microscopes are 40-50 years old, it is now possible to find units without this cover, as it was lost over the years.

This metal cover also acts as a heat sink and dissipates heat from the bulb - this can sometimes be seen as discoloration on the inner surface of the metal. For this reason, replacing it with an element made of cardboard or plastic is a very bad practice.

Without this cover, contaminants can enter the optical light beam, the angled mirror, or the field diaphragm, which may, for example, cause diaphragm failure or deterioration of image quality.

Unscrewing the upper lens reduces the numerical aperture of the condenser and allows optimal image quality when working with low-magnification objectives.

The lower wide-field lens can be inserted or removed from the optical path. Its presence in the optical path ensures illumination of the entire field of view when using very low-magnification objectives and prevents vignetting.

Why are monocular microscope heads often used in fluorescence microscopy? Fluorescence microscopy (especially older designs) produces a relatively dark image, so it is beneficial for 100% of the light beam to reach a single eye. A binocular microscope head would split the light 50% to each eye, which could result in an image that is too dark.

The barrier fluorescence filter PZO OG1 / GG9 mounted under the microscope head protects the eyes from the harmful spectrum of fluorescence illumination.

Note - there is also a PZO GG9 fluorescence filter (also available in my catalog). It is important to select the correct filters for the appropriate applications.

The OG1 / GG9 filter is a separate element that can be detached from the microscope head. It is mounted under the microscope head in a dedicated slot provided for this purpose.

This is not a 3D print - it is an original brass microscope element manufactured by Lomo and removed from a MIN-8 microscope.

Note - this is not a flat slide like most "sliders". It is a cube (in German "Würfel") with a knob for rotating the polarizer and mirrors inside.

a glass frosted filter (so-called ground glass) is located in the optical light beam path. It is mounted on a steel rod ending with a handle positioned outside the microscope base - at the rear, next to the place where the illuminator is inserted. This handle is used to insert and withdraw the frosted filter from the illumination beam path.

This design often leads to damage:
- the glass frosted filter is mounted on the rod in such a way that the glass frequently cracks
- the handle located at the rear of the microscope base very often breaks or crumbles
- the metal rod often jams and as a result of attempts to move it - bends

Here I present and offer this exact frosted filter with the complete movement mechanism:

- based on the spacing of the screw holes I believe that this is the element to which a binocular tube (so-called "binocular") is attached
- it is NOT the actual bottom part of the microscope head housing, as in Nikon microscopes this is usually made of a metal casting (from experience)

If you are looking for this element because you need it to replace the one you have and which is, for example, damaged - then based on detailed photographs with a centimeter scale you will certainly recognize whether this is the part you need.

This prism is mounted on a metal base which is screwed into the head under the eyepiece tube. This metal base allows adjustment of the prism in order to achieve perfect image collimation, meaning that the images for the left and right eye are aligned.
